The Voices of the Middle Branch interview series aims to celebrate the communities around the Middle Branch through visual storytelling.

“I’m 66 years old and I have been living in this area for over 50 years. My family came up here from the South when I was a child and I have been here ever since. I have seventeen children who were all born and raised in this area. Even though my children are all grown up now, what I want to see the most at the Middle Branch is more opportunities for recreation like kayaking and boating for kids.
I think it’s important for there to be educational programs around boating and things like water safety since many people don’t have those skills and would want to learn. It would also be great to have education around social issues that affect the area like substance abuse.”
