The Plan
The Middle Branch will be Baltimore’s next great waterfront, with 11+ miles of world-class parks, trails, programs, and equitable economic development.

More than $175 million in Federal, State, Local, Casino, and Philanthropic funds have already been raised, and a number of the projects listed in this Plan are already underway or completed. Maintenance and programming enhancements have already improved the activity and attractiveness of open space. Equity initiatives have brought millions of dollars to historically disinvested neighborhoods, and the market is responding in kind, with hundreds of millions of dollars of private investment now taking place. This Plan is not just possible — it is already happening.
The communities and neighborhoods of South Baltimore deserve the best and they should expect it from this project. Reimagine Middle Branch is invested in making positive change happen and transforming what was reimagined into reality.

As the Plan shifts more fully into the implementation mode, the project team will continue to engage community residents, stakeholder groups, and technical experts in the development of individual projects and initiatives.
